About Me

I live in Ward 2 with my husband and two wonderful children, who are currently in grades 6 and 8 at local HDSB schools.

I am a proud graduate of the Ontario public school system and the University of Toronto. Exposure to excellence in teaching and innovative programming at my local schools inspired my love of science, successful pursuit of a post-secondary degree in biology, and early career in research. I understand the importance of a strong and supportive public school system to ensure that every student in Halton Region can achieve their full potential.

In addition to a passion for quality public education, I bring to the Halton District School Board over 20 years of relevant experience from a range of professional and volunteer roles. I have been a member of School Council and active volunteer at our local schools for a range of programs that include: literacy support for primary students, breakfast and lunch programs, fun days for students, and fundraising. For several years I worked with a local charity that supports children and families living with poverty. These experiences have given me an appreciation for the role that trustees can play in helping families navigate the education system and ensure positive outcomes for students.
